Dragonfly Psychologies has been set up in recognition of the mental health difficulties many children and young people can suffer with and the impact upon their social and emotional lives. We also recognise how these difficulties can have an enormous impact upon the adults caring for them.
All our therapists have had experience of working with emotional difficulties that can lead to behavioural problems, psychosomatic symptoms, depression, anxiety, trauma related symptoms and underperformance at school.
We can offer timely and highly professional treatment for these difficulties to families and children who are unable to access the NHS or do not wish to do so.
As each child or young person is unique we will initially offer an assessment so we can understand more about the emotional difficulties that have led you to us.
Our recommendations will vary according to the needs of the individual. Sometimes this can lead to referrals for psychiatric assessment including neuro-developmental assessment, as well as for family therapy alongside individual therapeutic work.
The sessions are typically for 50 minutes and cost £80. However, we are able to offer some sessions at a concessionary rate.
